Bajan singer Rihanna took away the biggest honor at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday night with the first ever AMA ICON Award.
A humbled Rihanna thanked her fans for supporting her throughout her troubled journey. “So many people had joined this journey… so many people I have to thank. Oh I love you guys so much! Thank you!” said Rihanna while hoisting her trophy in the air. Afterwards, rapper 2 Chainz paid Rihanna a compliment. “She does the best she can at being herself,” he said. “I think that’s what more people need to start doing; we need more leaders and less followers,” 2 Chainz added.
According to Red Carpet Fashion blog, Rihanna skipped the red carpet portion of the awards show. She showed up onstage to accept her Favourite Soul/R&B Artist of the Year Award wearing a sexy two-piece from the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2014 Collection.

The look consisted of a black bustier top with a floor-sweeping sheer lace skirt with girdle-like construction.
A collection of jewels courtesy of Lynn Ban and Repossi plus an Alex Mika ear cuff accessorized her look.
It’s by far from being her best look, but I don’t hate it.
On the downside her wrap-setting hairstyle is beyond ridiculous plus the tan lines are tacky.
Pop Diva Christina Aguilera didn’t disappoint in this sexy white Maria Lucia Hohan long-sleeve, plunging gown with side peekaboo cutouts and a thigh-high slit.
